Ms. Terhune began her career with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP (Palo Alto), Deloitte & Touche LLP, (San Jose) and the United States Tax Court, Washington, D.C. She attended the American University in Washington, D.C. and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1985. Ms. Terhune has two law degrees. She holds Master of Law (Taxation), received in 1991 from New York University School of Law, located in New York City and a Juris Doctor received in 1989 from George Mason University School of Law, located in Arlington, Virginia. Ms. Terhune is admitted to practice law in Wyoming, New Jersey, and in Washington, DC.
Ms. Terhune has authored numerous articles on hedge funds and international tax planning. For years, she shared her wisdom and wealth of knowledge as a law columnist for WorldTrade Executive, Inc. Early in her career, she served as an adjunct professor, lecturing in taxation, business, and accounting at George Mason University Graduate School of Management and at the Columbus School of Law located at Catholic University in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Terhune served as military lawyer (Judge Advocate General) with the U.S. Army. Her military service includes serving as the JAG at the 426th Foreign Internal Defense/Unconventional Warfare Battalion (part of the US Army Special Operations Command) located in Upland, California. She served as an Aide-de-Camp to Brigadier General Robert Lucas while attached to the 351st Civil Affairs Command, located in Mountain View, California. She also served with the 221st Military Policy Brigade located in San Jose, California.
