That is correct, the book has nothing to do with economics – at least not directly. As far as the Institute is concerned, economics is another form of art – a simple perspective on what humans are already doing as measured by economic activity. One can philosophically state then that all art achieves the same purpose – expressing a view on humanity that is not obvious – not matter what the subject or medium used. Art opens the mind, and an open mind is needed to see our human conversation as something other than the same entrenched views we hold on to for so long. That, and seriously, we used an airplane to take many of the pictures. What could be more fun than that?
